CTDA Richmond Ballet provides exceptional ballet education to aspiring dancers under the guidance of Chief Instructor Lilian and a passionate team of highly qualified instructors. With Lilian’s wealth of expertise and dedication, the school is committed to providing the best possible training to its students. 

CTDA Richmond Ballet offers a variety of dance classes catering to different age groups and skill levels. Here is a brief overview of the classes we offer:

CDTA Ballet Exam

This class is designed for students who wish to take the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) ballet exam (ranges from Primary to Grade Eight). The exam is a comprehensive evaluation of a student’s technical ability and artistic expression, and successful completion can lead to certification in ballet. 

High School Credit

Richmond Ballet offers a program that allows high school  students to earn credit for dance classes taken at the ballet school. Credit system starts at Grade 6, which corresponds to high school Grade 10 to 12 art credits. Each level carries four credits, making a total of 12 credits.v

This program is a great way for students to combine their passion for dance with their academic pursuits. 

Competition Class

This class is geared towards advanced dancers who wish to compete in dance competitions. The class focuses on technique, choreography, and performance skills to help dancers excel in competitions. 

Adult Ballet Class

Richmond Ballet offers adult ballet classes for dancers of all skill levels. The adult ballet classes are divided into three levels: Beginner Class, Intermediate Class, and Advanced Class, all of which use the CDTA curriculum.c
